Privacy Policy

OnAir is an iPhone app by Aliaksandr Andrashuk. This policy explains what the app and this website, getonair.app, collect and why. The short version: your audio never leaves your iPhone, and the app sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports so it can be improved.
Your audio and recordings
OnAir asks for microphone access to read the inputs of your USB audio interface, or the built-in microphone when no interface is connected. The audio is processed on your iPhone and played to the output you choose. Recordings are saved only on your iPhone, in the app’s folder in the Files app. OnAir does not upload or share your audio, and nobody else has access to it.
No account, no ads, no tracking
The app has no sign-in and shows no ads. It does not track you across apps or websites of other companies, and it does not use the advertising identifier.
What the app collects
- A random app ID created when the app is first opened. It identifies the installation, not you, and is not linked to your name, email address or Apple Account.
- Usage events, such as going on or off air, starting and stopping a recording, choosing a channel, the recording format or the sample rate. They come with the name of the connected audio interface (for example “XONE 96”), channel names and technical details such as the channel count, sample rate, file format and recording length.
- Device information gathered automatically by the analytics tools: device model, iOS version, app version, language and region, and an approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address.
- Crash reports: technical details of a crash, such as the stack trace, device model and iOS version, together with the random app ID.
Who processes this data
- Mixpanel, Inc. for usage analytics. The app sends this data to Mixpanel’s data center in the European Union.
- Google (Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics) for usage analytics and crash reports.
Both process the data on the developer’s behalf under their data processing terms. The data is never sold and never used for advertising.
Why, and on what legal basis
The data is used to keep the app working, fix crashes, learn which equipment people use and decide what to build next. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation the legal basis is the legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long it is kept
Crash reports are kept for 90 days. Usage analytics are kept only as long as they help to improve the app and are then deleted.
Your choices and rights
You can stop all collection at any time by deleting the app. You have the right to access and delete your data and to object to its processing. Write to acreates@icloud.com. Because the data is not linked to your identity, you may be asked for details that help to find it, such as your device model and when you used the app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
This website
getonair.app sets no cookies and does not collect personal data. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
Children
OnAir is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
